$19- Start Drawing: Techniques for Pencil Portraits
Seven years ago when I was struggling to learn portraiture, I remember saying to my mom, "When I "get" this, I'm going to teach everyone how to do it!" So here we are, seven years later and I'm ready to share the knowledge I've discovered!
This is a self-paced online class. So once you purchase you will have lifetime access to all the videos and content, for only $19! You can use this class to get started on your own pencil portrait. Then share your project in the student gallery for feedback from classmates all over the world. As this is a lifetime class, I can not guarantee I can be hands on with every student through skillshare. However, I will be active in the classroom providing feedback whenever I am able. You can also feel free to contact me through deviantart if you would like a critique on your work.
After years of studying with professional portrait artists, by reading tons of books on how to draw the face, and by studying the works of master artists such as Sargent, Bouguereau, and Vanderpoel, I'm ready to share the most helpful information I've learned with you all!
Through videos, images, and easy to follow project steps you will learn how to make a great portrait. In my skillshare class, I will walk you through materials to use as well as how to pick the best reference photos. Then we will start sketching and I will teach you how to accurately draw the portrait using gesture and correct proportions. I will then share the knowledge I've learned from professionals on the planes of the face and light and shade. Blending and shading will of course be covered. I will also walk you through how to draw the eyes, nose, mouth, and hair and all the common mistakes you should try to avoid when drawing these features. Finally, I will teach you how to make your drawing really special with finishing touches.
All along the way I will be sharing tips, tricks, and techniques I've learned. This class will be packed with information and will help bring your drawing skills to the next level! This class will be great for the beginner as well as the intermediate or advanced student.

In this class I will share knowledge about portraiture in general and it can really be applied with any medium! So if your favorite medium is say charcoal, digital paint, pastels, watercolors, etc. this class will still have tons of useful information you can apply to your portrait work.

Character Drawing Class!
Hey everyone! I'm so excited to announce that my new drawing course is finally here! :) Spend your Saturday sketching something fun in Design a Female Character: Sketching Portraits with Pencils :D
I started drawing these girly characters back in 2010 and I've been drawing them ever since. Over time, my style has developed and changed, but these little characters have always been some of my favorite subjects to draw. I hope you will find character drawing as enjoyable as I do!
If you join in, please let me know if you have any questions as you work through the class. I'm happy to help and give advice if you need it.

Yes, I agree with the others, this class was and still is the one I didn't regret to follow online.
I wonder if there will be another one soon? Maybe with pastels/colored pencils? I'd love to join.
